I'm also trying out different brushes as well to achieve a certain look - different brushes for different textures.
I know a lot of artists use the smudge tool to achieve great blending results, but I'm very accustomed to color picking with the eyedropper tool and blending from there. I don't care for blending as much, as I actually prefer to see the shapes. Base/flats: I'm working in general shapes on top of general shapes on top of general shapes. (Though, this does bite me in the ass at times!😅) 2. Linework: I tend to stay loose with my linework, as I'm always excited to paint, rather.
